Global Crossing Selects Fortinet for CPE-Based Managed Security Services Offering

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/06/11 -- Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) -- a leading network security provider and the worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions -- today announced that Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, has selected Fortinet's UTM appliance for its new managed services offering, Global Crossing Security Solutions. As part of the offering, Global Crossing is using FortiGate®-80C, FortiGate-200B, FortiGate-620B, FortiGate-1240B and FortiGate-3950B appliances to help provide firewall, application control, intrusion prevention service, web content filtering protection, and antivirus and anti-spam capabilities.

The Global Crossing Security Solutions offer is targeted at Global Crossing's enterprise customers who prefer to local network security appliances at their premises, yet do not want to manage the appliance.
