Fortinet's FortiMail Earns Platinum Certification for Virus Bulletin's VBSpam Awards

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov.6, 2009 - Fortinet® - a market-leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - - today announced that its FortiMail™ email security appliance was awarded Virus Bulletin's highest level "Platinum" certification in the VBSpam Awards.

Virus Bulletin staff tested FortiMail among 13 other anti-spam products for detection rates and the number of false positives. Fortinet's FortiMail product was one of only two products that achieved the Platinum-level certification, which is given to products with a spam catch rate twice as high and a false positive rate twice as low as the average in the test.
