Fortinet Wins Multiple Awards From Network World and Computerworld for Firewall Security Innovation and Customer Service

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) -- a world leader in high-performance network security -- today announced that its FortiGate® platform won two 2014 Network World Asia (NWA) Information Management Awards in the categories of Best Firewall & Network Security, and Best Unified Threat Management and two 2014 Computerworld Customer Care awards (one for Malaysia and one for Singapore) for excellence in Customer Service.

Network World Asia Wins
The Network World Asia awards are judged by NWA editors and 100 Asia Pacific CIOs and IT heads who read NWA or its sister publications Networks Asia, Security Asia and Storage Asia. Judging criteria used by both editors and IT leaders include reputation of vendor in the marketplace; features of the solutions; market acceptance of the technology and brand; users' feedback on the solutions/deployments; and the solutions' durability, scalability and quality of service. The award ceremony was held at The Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore on June 12.

The FortiGate Advantage
Fortinet's flagship FortiGate platform delivers ASIC-accelerated performance and integrates multiple layers of security designed to help protect against application and network threats. To help secure wireless LANs, the platform offers a broad, flexible end-to-end solution that incorporates wireless and wired access, security, authentication, switching and management, in an easily managed system that allows system-wide policy enforcement. With it, administrators gain a broad, unified solution that provides unmatched protection, superior TCO and granular control through user authentication and device visibility across the entire network. Computerworld Customer Care Awards
The Computerworld Customer Care Awards were presented to IT providers that garnered the most end-user votes for quality of service. End users in Singapore and Malaysia were polled on vendor service levels pertaining to implementation and ongoing customer service. Areas covered by the survey included on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, ability of the deployment to meet multi-party needs, expertise of vendor employees, quality of end-user training and responsiveness of service staff. The Malaysian award ceremony was held at The Apartment at Suria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur on June 12 and the Singapore award ceremony was held at The Loof on June 11.
