About the FortiGate-140D-POE and FortiGate-240D
The FortiGate-140D-POE and FortiGate-240D were part of the major expansion to the FortiGate UTM product line the company introduced in July 2013 for SMBs, retail networks, healthcare, and branch/home offices. Both the FortiGate-140D and 240D series offer extremely high port densities, enabling customers to simplify their network by eliminating switches. Customers can connect wireless access points, IP-based technologies such as VoIP phones, point of sale terminals, medical devices and other devices directly to the FortiGate for improved security and visibility.

The FortiGate-200D series provides a mid-range network security platform designed for branch offices and SMB customers and delivers up to 84 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports and up to 4 Gbps firewall throughput and 1 Gbps of IPSec VPN performance.
